AEROFRAME is an Exclusive Partner delivering integrated access to advanced OPERABLE architectural systems across Western Canada and the United States.

AEROFRAME, in exclusive partnership with AIRCLOS, introduces a new category of operable architectural systems to Western North America. Designed for coastal climates across British Columbia and the Western United States, these systems enable buildings to respond to weather without compromising design intent.

Operable Glass Architecture

Retractable glass roof systems and vertical sliding façades designed to transform outdoor environments into year-round architectural space.

RETRACTABLE ROOF SYSTEMS

Operable Roof Architecture

The operable roof functions as a structural glass assembly that provides weather protection and thermal performance when closed and transforms to unobstructed sky exposure and natural ventilation.

VERTICAL SLIDING WINDOW SYSTEMS

Vertical Sliding Glass Walls

The large-format glass panels retract vertically to create expansive façade openings or enclosures, performing as a full-height glazed wall commonly used in hospitality environments.

AIRCLOS Retractable glass roof systems and vertical sliding façade systems transform terraces, courtyards, and hospitality environments into year-round architectural spaces, preserving the experience of open air while allowing environments to open, close, and respond to changing conditions without compromising architectural clarity.

Outdoor areas in coastal regions are often limited by rain, wind, and seasonal conditions. Terraces, rooftops, and courtyards remain underutilized despite their architectural and commercial value.

AIRCLOS systems redefine these spaces, allowing them to operate as fully functional environments year-round. When closed, they perform as a protected architectural enclosure. When open, they restore the experience of open air.

CLIMATE RESPONSIVE BUILDING DESIGN

Outdoor Architecture, Reimagined

Plan your Projects with AEROFRAME

As the exclusive AIRCLOS partner across Western Canada and the Western United States, AEROFRAME enables architects and builders to transform outdoor environments into fully realized, year-round architectural spaces. This partnership extends our engineered systems portfolio beyond vertical glazing into operable roof architecture, allowing terraces, courtyards, rooftops, and hospitality environments to perform as permanent, climate-responsive structures.

Through AEROFRAME, these systems are supported locally with:

  • Project-specific system engineering
  • In-house shop drawings and detailing
  • Installation guidance and coordination
  • Ongoing technical support

PROJECT / IN PROGRESS

THE NAVVY JACK BISTRO

LOCATION: DISTRICT OF WEST VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA

ARCHITECTURE: ARCHITECTURAL COLLECTIVE

REFLECTIVE CEILING: AIRCLOS RETRACTABLE ROOF SERIES

Set along the waterfront, The Navvy Jack project carefully balances heritage character with contemporary performance. The structure reinterprets a familiar coastal form, introducing a refined steel framework designed to accommodate operable glazing and a retractable roof system. As the build progresses, the integration of large-format openings begins to define the space, allowing it to transition between open-air exposure and protected enclosure. The result is an adaptive architectural environment that extends usability year-round while preserving the raw, grounded identity of the original site.
